George - never being known for being sentimental picked up on my grief.  One day not long after my father had passed George and I had a moment alone.  In that moment George told me - although he could never take the place of my father - if I ever needed someone to talk to - he would try to be there like a dad for me.

It has been over 34 years since George has offered to be my substitue dad and needless to say, I will always remember George for those kind words.
